Located in Adelaide's historic original treasury building in the city's heart - opposite the GPO on King William Street - The Treasury offers several intimate function and dining spaces ideal for breakfast, lunch and evening occasions. The contemporary interior décor provides a stylish corporate environment for meetings and catered events for small groups.

The King William Room

Sited at ground level amid the streetscape of Adelaide's central thoroughfare, The King William Room is suitable for groups of 8 to 12 guests. The natural light and landmark city views create a vibrant meeting space that brings the city to you.

A room hire fee applies.

The Alcove

With windows to King William Street and banquette seating, The Alcove is a semi-enclosed dining and meeting space for 4 to 6 persons. Ideal for breakfast meetings and business lunches and dinners, this intimate room is an affordable inner-city space for mixing business with fine dining. In addition,The Alcove may be requested for small social gatherings and romantic dinners.

The current a la carte restaurant breakfast and lunch & dinner menus are offered with set menus available on request.

The Treasury Restaurant

The Treasury Restaurant at the Medina Grand offers stylish city dining for breakfast, lunch & dinner. The lunch and dinner menu comprises contemporary Australian food with European and Asian-influenced dishes. The menu changes regularly to utilise top quality seasonal produce. For breakfast, egg dishes and fresh fruit are among the selections.

The Treasury wine list has a strong Australian focus with around a dozen wines available by the glass. The list offers a selection of vintage riesling, premium chardonnays and comprises a great range of current and back vintage Australian red wines.

The Treasury Bar

Open from 12 noon Monday to Friday, the Treasury Bar menu has tasty lunch options such as focaccia, pasta, soup & a mixed bar plate. Monday to Saturday evenings snacks are available and platters of finger food can be organised if requested in advance - the kitchen is open from 5.30pm - 9.00pm on these evenings.

The current a la carte restaurant, breakfast, lunch & dinner menus are offered with set menus avalable on request.

The Treasury Courtyard

During regular opening hours the outside courtyard is available for casual groups of drinkers and those wishing to dine. Both the bar and the restaurant menus are available. The maximum number of diners that can be accommodated with the restaurant menu in one group outside is 20 (groups of between 20 and 60 can be accommodated inside).

The Treasury Courtyard is ideal for cocktail parties both small and large. A selection of hot and cold food items is on offer with menus starting at around $14 per person. For groups of 20 to 80 guests a portion of the courtyard is allocated and cordoned off. The entire courtyard is utilised for groups up to 140 people, though the availability is often limited. The courtyard is not available for cocktail parties on Friday evenings.

The Treasury courtyard may be used for wedding ceremonies. However, as the apartments are accessed via the central courtyard and the bar may be open to the public, THE COURTYARD IS NOT necessarily AVAILABLE EXCLUSIVELY.

Due to the proximity of the accommodation, the CD music used in the courtyard is played at a moderate volume only and the courtyard needs to be vacated at 11.00pm at night. Should you wish to have an evening event in the courtyard, guests need to have been relocated inside to the bar by this time.

FUNCTIONS AT THE TREASURY

To book the restaurant at The Treasury Restaurant exclusively for a function group, generally a minimum of 45 people is required. This may be a smaller number depending on the service period - for example, on a Tuesday evening, we may book out the restaurant with only 40 guests. The restaurant's maximum capacity is 64 diners. Menus are created by selecting dishes from the current a la carte menu.

If you are thinking of making a Christmas booking, THE A LA CARTE MENU FOR DECEMBER WILL BE AVAILABLE IN EARLY OCTOBER. However, to assess our food style and individual dish prices, the current menu can be used as a guide. This can be e-mailed or faxed to you upon request if not already included.
